Elephant and Castle in South London is undergoing a huge regeneration plan. The 15-year plan include the construction of a new pedestrianized Town Centre, a new market place, over 5000 new homes and integrated transport links. It is part of £3 billon plan for the area.

Acre landscapes were contracted by P.J Careys on behalf of the main contractor Lend lease to landscape the many separate podium levels of buildings know as H4 and H5 and Sayer Street.

Despite Covid measures, the project was completed on time and on budget

Site challenges included very limited access, limited vertical lifting methods and built during 1st, 2nd and 3rd UK lockdowns as COVID 19 measures.

Sayer street is a temporary scheme aimed at giving areas of the construction site back to the local population. The tropical themed seating area go hand in hand with the new restaurants and bars. The street is pedestrianized so the tropical landscaped seating areas can be truly explored by all.
