Home of the UK’s record-breaking clipper, Cutty Sark Gardens is a key project in the Mayor of London’s Great Spaces initiative. In recognition of its rich naval history, an extensive three-year renovation plan was approved to showcase the landscape’s potential in time for the London 2012 Summer Olympics.

Anticipating an increase in tourist foot traffic, the Acre team began the landscape re-establishment by applying specialist soils to vulnerable areas of paving – providing a safe and inviting outdoor space.

Only six months to source and grow the chosen perennials

And with just six-months to source and grow the chosen perennials, Her Majesty the Queen was able to officially open the gardens with a diverse range of shrubs and wildflowers in full bloom.

We continue to be landscapers of choice for overseeing the professional grounds maintenance at Cutty Sark Gardens.
